Some new developments may be on the way as local councils are currently considering a number of homes plans.
These seven plans could result in more houses and apartments being built in the area if they are approved by Watford Borough Council, Three Rivers District Council, or Hertsmere Borough Council.
Applications can be viewed through the relevant council’s planning portal.
Plans to build flats in Watford town centre car park
A total of 89 homes are proposed in a building of up to eight storeys in Wellstones.
The land is currently a pay and display car park but has been eyed up as a redevelopment opportunity.
A commercial unit is proposed on the ground floor.
The plan was submitted on October 18, 2022, and is currently pending consideration. Revised drawings were added as recently as February 3.
Plans for 195 homes on green belt land
The proposal seeks to build up to 195 homes on green belt land between Radlett Lane and Theobald Street.
Having been submitted on September 2022, last year, the plan is awaiting a decision. Supporting documents were added on January 30.
Plan to demolish outbuilds and build apartments
A plan to demolish two smaller buildings in Windsor Road and build detached apartments was submitted to Watford Borough Council on December 20.
According to the design and access statement the design will be in keeping with nearby houses in the residential street. However, internally there will be five apartments.
It is currently pending consideration.
Consultation on 900 homes between Kings Langley and Abbots Langley
Until 5pm on March 10, feedback can be submitted to Three Rivers District Council on four newly submitted sites across Kings Langley and Abbots Langley.
Two revised sites in Bedmond are also part of the consultation.
Application to turn former Kings Langley pub into flats
A construction company is seeking permission to turn the disused The Bell pub into flats.
The Grade II listed building in Primrose Hill, Kings Langley, could be converted into two two-bed flats and one one-bed flat if listed building consent is granted.
Consultee comments were still coming in during late January after the plan was proposed in November.
