An American headwear retailer is opening up in atria Watford.
Lids, described as the largest retailer that specialises in athletic hats and gear, will be coming to the shopping centre in early November.
It sells an assortment of college, MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL teams as well as other speciality fashion apparel.
While it has already made a name for itself with a total of 1,131 stores – mainly in the US – Lids has been slowly introducing itself to the UK since 2021.

With over 1,000 hat options online, the company will also be selling products from well-known fashion brands such as Nike, Adidas and New Era.
It will take up a 1,721sq ft unit in the upper mall to sell the officially licensed and branded items.
Lids was founded in Boston by best friends Douglass Karp (son of real estate developer Stephen R. Karp) and Ben Fischman (son of real estate developer Steven Fischman) in 1993.
