Watford forward Britt Assombalonga has joined Southend United on a month-long loan.
Assombalonga is a second-year professional who made two starts and two substitute appearances for the Hornets' first team last season.
The 19-year-old had two successful loan spells at Wealdstone and Braintree Town last season.
The likeable youngster scored 11 goals in 15 appearances on loan at Ryman Premier side Wealdstone, which led to a temporary move to Braintree Town of the Conference.
Assombalonga scored five goals in five games at Braintree, which prompted Hornets manager Sean Dyche to recall Assombalonga.
The forward joined Watford's Academy after impressing on one of the community trust's courses at Hertswood School.
The versatile player signed a contract extension until the summer of 2013 earlier this year.
