Little Hay Golf Club held their captain's day in warm sunshine on Saturday.
More than 80 golfers teed off at the crack of dawn to play on a well prepared course. Many players chose to play from Little Hay's championship tees which presented an especially tough challenge.
The winning lady was Elaine Meagher with 40 points and the leading man playing from the normal competition tees was Ross Kerridge with 44. The best player playing off the championship tees and winner of the captain's cup for 2012 was Chris Miles with a score of 41 points.
The morning’s golf was followed by an evening dinner and quiz night for members and their guests in aid of the captain's charity - the Alzheimer's Society.
