South Oxhey Boxing Club's Reece Bellotti was crowned ABA champion at York Hall on Friday night.
The 21-year-old won the 54kg competition after a majority decision over Middlesbrough's Joe Maphosa at Bethnal Green.
Bellotti had to win three fights to get the final and he dominated all three rounds against Maphosa. The bantamweight is in line to be selected for the Great Britain development squad after winning the national title.
Bellotti has had 22 fights since he started boxing at the age of 18 and is trained by Mick Courtney, Paul Groves and John Sheppard.
Groves said: "I was very impressed with him and he's like a local celebrity now in South Oxhey after they showed the fight on TV in the pubs. It is a big achievement for him."
Anyone interested in taking up boxing at the club should contact Sheppard on 077888 72945.
