Presidents Cup Semi-Finals

Tudor Arms are through to the final after a 3-0 win over Colne Valley.

All three Tudor goals came in the second half, as Valley were left to rue missing several good chances in the opening period.

It was very much a game of two halves. with Valley dominating the first half but unable to convert the pressure and possession into goals as Dave Rooney , Tom Seamons and Martin Skinner all went close.

The second half was a complete reversal as Tudor came out on the front foot and went ahead from a free-kick scored by Jack Robertson ten minutes in.

They doubled their lead four minutes later from another set piece, with a goal from Dan King.

Valley again got into the game but their opponents defended well. With Valley pouring forward, Tudor wrapped up the win in the last minute with a breakaway goal from Gary Warne.

They will face Kings Langley in the final after they easily defeated Inter 5-0 in the other semi-final, with Steve Lovell netting four of them.

The game was over by six minutes before half-time as Langley had taken a 3-0 lead thanks to two goals from Lovell, either side of a Ryan Kaser effort. Lovell added two more goals in the 79th and 80th minutes to complete the victory.

Premier Division

Headstone Athletic were back in league action and had a straightforward 6-2 win over Loop Construction.

The game was even until midway through the second half with the score at 1-1.

Marc Brimble had given Headstone the lead in the first half before Dave Colls equalised earlyafter the break.

An injury to Loop leeper Gary Drake forced them to play with ten men for the remainder of the game and Headstone took full advantage, with a goal from Chris Gough and two each from Terry Flaherty and Dan Page.

Division One

The title race now looks to bebetween three sides - Evergreen Seniors Reserves, Reed Rangers and Everett Rovers after all had straightforward wins.

Evergreen easily defeated 3 Lions 5-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Jack Garratt and one each from Dan Hicks and Neil Yull.

Reed are still in second place and unbeaten after a 3-0 win over Rickmansworth Athletic - Sean Bower, Dan Tearle and Steve Tearle the men on target.

Everett are also still to taste league defeat after they cruised past Aquis 4-0 thanks to Glenn Coniam, Joe McCarthy, Tom Dettmer, and Anthony Holliman.

Rovers' title bid may have suffered a mortal blow after a 3-1 defeat by FC Swan.

Lewis Jones netted for Rovers but it wasn't enough to beat an in-form Swan side that scored all their goals in the second half thanks to a brace from Chris Crook and Bradley Shurville strike.

Watford Labour Club gained a vital three points in their bid to avoid relegation as they won a third game of the season, with a 5-3 away victory over BTH Athletic.

Martin Bedford was the start man for Labour, scoring four times, with Stuart White also netting.

Division Two

Amici are the new leaders after enjoying a 4-2 win over Cassiobury Revolution. Les Joyce and James Rodden scored a brace each.

The side to watch in the title race are Old Danes Athletic.

They are in fifth place but are only four points behind Amici with four games in hand after thumping bottom-placed The Boys Home 11-0.

Glenn O’Malley scored four times, supported by two from Sam Barratt and singles from Ross Barratt, Ben McDermott, Rob Rossiter, Nick Alibey and Andy Shaw.

Ebury Olympians gained a first clean sheet of the season with a 1-0 win over Roundbush Reserves.

Top scorer Jason Quilley took his total for the season to 21 as his strike from a tight a angle 14 minutes into the second half was enough to take the points.
