Watford manager Sean Dyche revealed he has been tracking Fulham youngster Alex Kacaniklic since the summer.
Dyche claims he was looking at the 20-year-old for six months and the winger impressed further when he scored against the Hornets during a friendly in November, when Fulham's development squad beat a Watford XI 4-2.
Kacaniklic joined the Hertfordshire club on a six-month youth loan this morning and should be part of the squad for tomorrow night's game against Millwall.
Dyche said: "Alex is someone we have been looking at for around six months. I speak to Ray Lewington down there and Billy McKinlay and they both think highly of him.
"He is an exciting prospect who needs first team football and we will help him do that. He has talent and pace and in the games I have seen him play, he can also finish as well.
"He is young and still learning but capable of progressing here."
The left-footed winger moved to England from home-town club Helsingborg in 2007 but never made a first team appearance for Liverpool before joining Fulham in 2010.
