Sean Dyche insists Watford currently have no decision to make with regards to Adrian Mariappa.
The Hornets have rejected three bids from Newcastle United this week and Dyche was asked for an update on the defender’s situation after last night’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Dyche said: “There isn’t any latest. It is the same as it was. We like Mariappa and we like what he does for the club and there is no decision to make at the minute.”
When asked whether other clubs were interested in Mariappa, Dyche replied: “There is talk of loads of people to be honest which in a way is a positive for us. We like to think we are a club that improves and develops players.
“Although, of course not at the expense of doing well in the Championship. We value our players highly as people and there is a monetary value involve. Nothing has changed on that.”
