Watford's commercial director has been recognised at the inaugural Asian Football Awards which was held at Wembley Stadium last night.
Raj Athwal won the 'Behind the Scenes Award' for administration at the event, which aims to celebrate Asians in football.
Athwal spent 14 years at Coventry City before joining Watford in July 2008 as head of corporate sales.
The father of two beat the Premier League's finance director and head of media, the SPL's admin and finance manager and Aston Villa's community relations manager to the award.
Other notable winners included Ipswich Town striker Michael Chopra, who was 'Player of the Year', and the award for 'Investors in Football' went to the Queens Park Rangers pair Lakshmi Mittal and Tony Fernandes.
