Urban Progress A and B both secured good wins as the Watford and District Table Tennis League resumed following a Christmas break.
Progress A picked up where they left off with a convincing 7-1 victory against Bats. The B team also secured a win, putting in a hard fought performance to overcome Abbots Langley 5-3.
Elsewhere in the Premier Division Aardvarks put in a classy performance against Cougars winning 8-0.
Division One leaders Eagles continued their fine form with a 6-2 win against Gazzelles, rivals Post Office were next up but they failed to keep pace after a shock 3-5 defeat to Watling A.
Bottom placed Huskies finally got something to smile about as they also produced a shock by beating Hounds 8-0.
In Division Two Audit A suffered their first defeat of the season losing 3-5 to promotion rivals Watling C, Kangaroos also lost by the same score line to Iguanas.
Watling D were unable to emulate their fellow club members as they slipped to 7-1 defeat to Panthers in Division Three. Progress C also failed to flatter losing 3-5 to Newts who had just two players.
Results: Premier Division: Bats 1-7 Urban Progress A; Urban Progress B 5-3 Abbots Langley; Cougars 0-8 Aardvarks.
Division One: Gazelles 2-6 Eagles; Post Office 3-5 Watling A; Huskies 8-0 Hounds.
Division Two: Watling C 5-3 Audit A; Kangaroos 3-5 Iguanas.
Division Three: Watling D 1-7 Panthers; Progress C 3-5 Newts.
