Tom James will remain with the Hornets until the end of this season after signing a new short-term deal.
The left-back joined Watford in the summer after impressing while on trial and his impressed sufficiently to have his stay at Vicarage Road extended for the remainder of the 2011/12 campaign.
The 23-year-old former Stratford Town player’s development will now continue under the Hornets coaching staff.
