Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall admitted a couple of errors cost them the victory in their 15-15 draw with Gloucester.
The Premiership champions were held to their first draw of the season after Gloucester equalised with a late Freddie Burns penalty.
McCall said: "We always felt we were on top but we couldn't get away from them. Games like that are always tight. It was pouring with rain and there are going to be errors from both teams.
"You have to ride those errors out but both teams made them. I think little small details stopped us from building the pressure we needed to get away from them.
"I'm delighted with how we worked out there and delighted with a lot of things we did. But crucial errors at crucial times stopped us from getting the win."
