Turner Trophies WSFL Challenge Cup Final
Oakview captured the league and cup double but only after being made to fight all the way by Bushey, who were in the hunt until their superb challenge was ended in the last minute.
Top scorer Lee Armitt put the champions in front midway through the first half and marginally against the run of play but both teams then went toe-to-toe for the next 30 minutes before Lewis Stead equalised with a superb shot into the top corner.
The pace and excitement continued until the last minute when a Oakview attack down the right wing resulted in a fine cross that was headed home by Anthony Shepherd to the delight of his team-mates and Oakview’s supporters.
Keeper Craig Franklin was named man-of-the-match for Bushey who, despite losing, played their part in a memorable final which augers well for their challenge in the top flight next season.

Division One
Champions Carpenders Park Rangers’ disappointing finish to the season ended with a 3-2 defeat to Watford Irish.
This was Rangers’ second consecutive loss since winning the titile, with Arturas Simokovas (2) and Ashley Toomey securing the win.
Division Three
Dome Bar Rangers and Carefree Athletic had a 2-2 draw in a match that had no effect on the table but the scorers - Nick Cornwall and Craig Foy for Rangers and Darren Till and Andy Lungay for their opponents - would have enjoyed netting.
Mangans enjoyed a change in form for the last league match of their season, winning 5-1 against Croxley RBL.
Tom Ryan scored twice, with Sean Mummery, Jason Matthews and Charlie Bell also netting to ensure the victors ended their campaign with a smile. Chris May responded for RBL.
