Garston Veterans lifted the Herts Over-40 Cup after beating Whitewebbs Vets 3-0 in Letchworth.
Striker Phil Reid's diving header set the tone for Garston's performance, as they overcame a stubborn opposition to lift the crown for the second consecutive season.
Ex-Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Keith Ryan supplied Reid for the opening goal after 20 minutes before Gary Harthill hit the post from a Steve Whitby free-kick as Garston threatened a second.
However goalkeeper Andy Hopping had to pull off a fantastic save at the other end to preserve the first-half lead.
Ryan's second-half header grazed the crossbar and sub Farrad Sofiana, an ex-Algeria international, smashed a shot against an upright as Garston went for the killer second.
Goals two and three duly arrived to settle any nerves, with impressive left-back Mark Scott putting Sofiana in the clear with a perfectly-weighted pass. The initial shot hit the post again but Ryan was there to force the rebound home.
Sofiana finally got his goal, speeding clear of the Whitewebbs defence after good set-up play from Dave Chapman and Joe Maguire.
