Watford Joggers were out in full force as 35 of them competed in the London Marathon.

With 60 other Joggers manning the traditional 24 mile water station the day was a blinding triumph featuring excellent split times reflecting the coaching standards at the club.

Club chairman Colin Taylor broke the MV50 club record with a time of 3.02.25. Josh Worthington made an impressive debut (3.41.52) and Manisha Gajjar (4.05.35) flourished on her birthday.

Paul Biswell probably received the biggest cheer as he marked his debut with a time of 4.54.41.

Victoria Sylvester managed a PB in a time of 3.49.14 and Rosemary Thompson also achieved a best of 3.58.21.

Nicole Hochmuth broke her best in a time of 4.25.06 Marcia Quinn set a PB in 4.46.26 and Linda McQuaid also managed a time of 4.52.13.

Roz Fullylove managed a PB in a time of 4.07.22 and Janet Willerton clocked 4.17.45.

Mark Nichols set a PB in a time of 4.21.11 while Malcolm Salmons managed a time of 3.58.35.

New members Graham Portas and Elisabeth Gunter ran the Paris marathon together last weekend in a time of 4.23.49 in 25 degree heat.
