Stephen McGinn's knee operation on Wednesday was deemed a success, Watford manager Malky Mackay has confirmed.
McGinn damaged his cruciate knee ligament in a challenge with Doncaster Rovers forward Jason Euell and team-mate Adam Thompson on February 26.
The former Scotland Under-21 international had an operation at the beginning of March and had another procedure on Wednesday.
Mackay yesterday confirmed: “Stephen had the operation and so far everything went to plan, the consultant was happy with how it all went.”
