Garston Ladies Under-13 Mets added another trophy to their cabinet as they were crowned league champions for the second year running on Saturday after thrashing St Josephs 7-0.
The game at the Bushey Met Police Club was over by half time as Garston took a storming 5-0 lead into the break. Despite a spirited second-half fightback from St Joseph's, the result was never really in doubt.
Jordan Littleboy's hat-trick took her goal tally to 50 for the season, and the addition of an Aimee Durn brace and goals from Lauren Berryman and Cassandra Chase, saw Garston pick up their second trophy of the season with ease.
The girls are now looking to round off an incredible season by winning the League Cup Final in May.
However, it was not such a good weekend for Garston's U-13 Diamonds, as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of title chasing Panshanger.
Following a dismal first half showing, Garston found themselves 3-0 down.
And while spectators would have been forgiven at half time for predicting a cricket score, Garston pulled out a much improved second-half performance.
A Yasmine Welford goal was the least they deserved for their valiant second half showing, however their failure to capitalise on their chances saw them fall to defeat, with the win securing the title for the opposition.
