Watford Croquet Club have arranged a three week introduction to golf croquet.

The croquet season began at the start of the month and members of the Watford Croquet Club have been getting back into the action.

The first introductory course starts on Sunday, May 8 and continues for the following two Sundays from 10.30am-12.00pm.

The second course begins on Monday, May 9 and carries on for the following two Monday nights at 6.30pm.

All necessary equipment and light refreshments will be provided. There is a small charge for these courses which is redeemable against the initial membership fee for anyone who joins. Further information about the course and booking a place is available from Roger on 01923 236068.

Visitors are always welcome at the club, based in Cassiobury Park, which has three lawns opposite the Cha Cha Cha Café near the Shepherds Road entrance. Club sessions are held, weather permitting, everyday day apart from Mondays. Prospective members are encouraged to come and try out the game before making a commitment to join the club.

In recent years a growing membership has enabled members to enjoy a fuller programme of both competitive and social play. Internal club competitions run throughout the season to the end of September and the club also participates in regional leagues.
