Watford FC are joining forces with the Hertfordshire FA in a bid to find players who could star at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
The Hornets and Herts FA are setting up a Disability Centre of Excellence in a bid to try and produce players who could feature for one of the seven England Disability squads, which include Cerebral Palsy and Blind teams.
The centre is licensed by The Football Association and tomorrow’s trial at the County Ground in Letchworth is the last chance for interested players, between the ages of 11 and 18, to put themselves forward.
Those hoping to attend are asked to arrive at the County Ground in Baldock Road, Letchworth, at 6.45pm and the trial will finish at approximately 8.30pm.
Players selected for the centre will receive training kit and a specialist 20-week training programme at Ashlyns School in Berkhamsted.
The disability categories are Cerebral Palsy, Amputees, Visually Impaired, Deaf/ Hearing Impaired, and Learning Disabilities. Those attending must have a SEN statement or be registered disabled.
If you would like to nominate a player then ring Watford FC’s Gareth Jones on 01923 496 356.
