Watford’s Scott Loach is one of four goalkeepers called up by the England Under-21s for their crucial European Championship play-off match with Romania.

Loach, who has been promoted to the full England squad twice this season, should start in the first leg against Romania, which will be played at Norwich City’s Carrow Road on Friday, October 8.

The other three goalkeepers included are Blackburn Rovers’ Frankie Fielding, Huddersfield Town’s Alex Smithies and Jason Steele of Middlesbrough.

Former Watford loanees Tom Cleverley, Henri Lansbury, Danny Rose and Jack Cork are also in the squad.
