Watford have secured the long-term future of Danny Graham after extending the striker’s contract until 2012, with the option of an extra year.
Graham’s current deal could have expired next summer, although the club would certainly have activated the extra year in his contract, but the club have moved to secure the in-form striker’s future.
The 25-year-old has signed a contract until the summer of 2012 and the club have the option of another year.
This follows on from Marvin Sordell signing a new deal this week, which ties him down to the Hornets until 2013.
Graham was plucked out of non-league football by Middlesbrough and after loan spells at Darlington, Derby County, Blackpool and Leeds United, he signed for Carlisle United.
Graham’s form for Watford has attracted the attention of a number of clubs, with Swansea City having enquiries rejected in the summer.
