RICHARD LEE looks set to return to first-team action between the posts tomorrow (Saturday, February 26) as Watford complete their sequence of away games at Wolves.
The 22-year-old came through the Reserve's victory at Portsmouth on Wednesday, February 23 unscathed and Ray Lewington is ready to put the keeper straight back into the team, two months after he sustained a fractured cheekbone at Coventry.
But Lewington's outfield selection for the trip to Molineux may depend on the fitness of Heidar Helguson, who had not resumed training earlier this week following the knee injury he suffered at Sunderland.
"H' is not serious but he wasn't ready for last night," said the manager on Wednesday. "Whether he will be fit for Saturday I don't know, but that would be the only game he will miss."
If Helguson does recover, Lewington may revert to a 4-4-2 after deploying a 4-5-1 formation at Ipswich, but the Hornets boss was keeping his options open.
"I don't know," he replied when asked if he would switch team shapes. "If H' is fit it might persuade me to go back, but I thought the system worked really well with the personnel in there.
"Ipswich have a very quick, mobile midfield and are very good at getting up and down. On chances they were better than us, but we had a lot of the ball and played some good football ourselves. The system will be gauged to personnel but we've played it quite a bit now and the boys are probably getting used to it."
