IF Watford's change in fortunes continues to be favourable then it is anyone's guess where they may finish in the table this season, but Ray Lewington believes his team are due their new-found luck.
The Hornets may have shocked Championship leaders Ipswich Town on Tuesday, February 22, but their goal led a charmed life as the Tractor Boys failed to convert a host of excellent opportunities, mirroring the second-half at home to Gillingham earlier in the month. The opposition created a total of 14 clear-cut chances in the two games combined, yet Watford emerged with maximum points.
"Earlier in the season when we were getting all those draws and feeling disappointed I thought we would get our luck back," said the Watford manager. "I think over the season you get a share of good fortune and I honestly think we are due this. We got it against Gillingham in the second-half, and we've got it again.
"But we worked extremely hard. The only times they really opened us wasn't the way Ipswich usually do by passing through midfield and playing through you. On the occasions when they did it was by using (Darren) Bent's pace with the ball over the top."
