Steve Borthwick and Moses Rauluni will come face to face tomorrow when they lead out their sides in England's game against the Pacific Islands at Twickenham.
Sarries' co-captain Borthwick has been given the chance to skipper England in Martin Johnson's first match in charge while Fiji scrum half Rauluni hopes to guide the Islands as they go in search of their first tour victory.
The 33-year-old will be joined in the team by Saracens' powerhouse Samoan prop Cencus Johnston and Kameli Ratuvou. The Fijian flyer will slot in at full back for the tour opener at Rugby HQ tomorrow.
Rauluni said: "All of the boys are looking forward to the game and are keen to win the test and spoil the party for Martin. This is our third tour as the Pacific Islands and we have yet to win a match – so we're keen to make up for that over the next few weeks. And I think we've got a good chance of doing that.
"If you look around the squad we have selected, it's full of players who play in Europe and are used to featuring in big matches for their clubs, understand the conditions and know the players they are facing - that will help us a great deal.
"On the first Islands tour, it was full of guys who weren't really used to the big occasion, but that has changed now. Our scrum and forward pack is a lot better and we've also got some pretty good players in the squad.
"We'll be going out to play our natural game, but we also know that England play a very structured game so we can't ignore that. But I believe if we can get our set piece working, then we can look to play our natural game off the back of that and hopefully get the offloading game going and offer up some good running lines."
Rauluni has skippered Saracens already this season and he insists teammate Borthwick is the right choice to lead a new-look England side. He also cannot wait to lock horns with the former Bath lock on the pitch.
The Pacific Islands captain added: "We've been interviewed a few times about that in recent weeks and it's only really hitting home now that we'll be going head to head at the weekend. I've been fortunate enough to play under him as captain for most of the season and he really is a great leader – the perfect choice for England.
"He will bring out the best in the England team and I'm hoping I can do the same with the Islanders. Whatever happens, it will be a great occasion because playing at Twickenham is always special – you never grow tired of it."
