Eddie Jones was happy his side continued their consistent form despite going out of the EDF Energy Cup at the weekend.
Saracens made a poor start to the match at Bristol before tries from Noah Cato and Alex Goode overpowered the strugglers in a 24-22 victory. But their four successive win was not enough to see them qualify for the semi-finals because Northampton Saints secured a bonus-point win over the Scarlets.
Sarries' director of rugby said: "The penalty count was 14-4 so it was always going to be difficult. We were architects of our own poor effort in the first half and were lucky to be in the game.
"We were very disappointed with our first half but pleased with our second half.
"The good thing was that we're developing consistency. In the second half we were methodical. We played how we needed to play and ended up winning the game. We've played ten games and we have been pretty consistent. While we would have liked to have made the EDF semi finals it was more about the consistency of our own performance."
