Michael Owen has missed out on a recall to the Wales squad for their squad for the autumn tests.
Saracens' number eight was widely tipped to be called up to Warren Gatland's 32-man squad after impressing during the start of his career at Vicarage Road.
The 27-year-old moved to Saracens in the summer from Newport Gwent Dragons and he has made an impact for them scoring his first try for them in the recent Guinness Premiership win over Northampton Saints.
Wales begin on November 8 with a game against South Africa before hosting Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
