Eddie Jones was pleased with his side’s 53-3 destruction of Mont de Marsan in the European Challenge Cup yesterday.
Saracens scored seven tries past their French opponents and never looked like losing the game.
Jones, Sarries’ director of rugby, said: “We just played the right options, we got some quick ball which allowed us to move the ball, but you saw they defended pretty well and slowed the ball down at the break down and we had to work pretty hard for our tries.
“We only got a bit loose in bits of the first half but generally our discipline was good. We are aiming to be a better side than where we are in the (league) table so we need that discipline.
“You have just got to watch all the top class rugby at the moment and it is absolutely brutal, discipline is the key to being a good side.”
The win puts Saracens top of Pool Five and Jones’ men now travel to Italy on Saturday to play Viadana in their second game of the competition.
