Herts Intermediate Cup Third Round

Only four games in total involving Watford Sunday League sides survived the effects of Storm Bert but there was an excellent result for Everett Rovers as they reached the quarter-finals of the county Intermediate cup with a 3-0 away success over Hemel Tudors of the Berkhamsted Sunday League.

The conditions made it very difficult to play any good football but Everett failed to convert several good chances before they finally took the lead with a header from Charlie Frost following a cross from Danny Raymond.

They then hit the woodwork twice and saw an incredible goalline clearance from a defender keep the lead to only one goal at the half-way point.

The second half was much the same and Everett finally doubled their advantage with a well-taken goal by Harry Durbin.

Jordan Standley rounded off the victory with header from a Raphael De Souza corner which sets up a last-eight contest away against the winners of the tie between BWSC and the Cock, scheduled for January 19.
