Watford Walking Football Club's over-50s team has won the inaugural Walking Football National FA Cup.
The Hornets took on Nottingham Forest Vets at St George's Park in Burton-on-Trent in what was described as "a hell of a match" by referee Dave Bent.
The game finished 2-2, with Watford missing a last-minute penalty which could have secured victory in normal time.
The match proceeded to a best-of-three penalty shootout, where Watford emerged as 2-1 winners.
A spokesperson for the club said: "It's only been a 143-year wait for Watford to win the FA Cup."
The tournament took place at the FA's headquarters earlier this month and saw six teams from across the country compete, each having won their regional competitions.
Despite losing their opening match 1-0 to Nottingham Forest, Watford topped the league before meeting Forest again in the final.
Following the successful cup run, Watford Walking Football Club is now looking for more members.
A club spokesperson added: "We are always looking for new players to join our club.
"It is a great inclusive sport and gives the opportunity for those who miss playing from their younger years the chance to do what they love again and those who have never played before the chance to discover the beautiful game."
