A referee will take charge of a Watford fixture against the same opposition for a second time this season, but in a different competition, when they return to action after the international break on Friday night.
Andy Davies officiated in the Hornets’ 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle in the League Cup in August and the EFL website has stated he has again been appointed to be the man in the middle of a fixture between the two clubs, this time in the Championship at Home Park.
Tom Cleverley’s men will be aiming to make it three wins with the Hampshire official in charge of one of their fixtures in this campaign because he also officiated in their 2-1 victory over Sunderland in September.
Davies has refereed 11 league and cup games so far this season, issuing a total of 48 yellow cards but no reds.
Graham Kane and Nigel Lugg are due to be the assistant referees for the 8pm kick-off, with Sam Allison on fourth official duties.
