Having been left out of the last two matchday 20-man squads, Daniel Jebbison will be involved again this week as Watford face three games in seven days.

The on-loan Bournemouth striker has struggled since arriving at the end of the summer transfer window, and head coach Tom Cleverley took Jebbison out of the spotlight by totally leaving him out for the game at Leeds and the home win over Blackburn.

The 21-year-old has only started twice during his six Watford appearances, completing only 236 minutes with his longest stint on the pitch being 68 minutes in the 4-1 defeat at Norwich.

“He’s training really well, and he has a fantastic attitude on the training pitch,” said Cleverley.

“His desire to want to improve and his understanding of where he needs to improve have impressed me.

“He’ll be playing some sort of minutes in the next three games for sure.

“It’s my job to reintroduce him with not too much pressure on him.

“He’ll play when the time is right for him and for the team.

“I thought Bayo’s 30 minutes against Blackburn were outstanding, and although it’s not his best position Baah has scored playing as a false nine or winger.

“People are doing better than it might look to the naked eye, and Jebbo is showing me every day that he has desire to improve.

“I have no doubt that things will come good for him.

“We recruited him for his finishing and running, and he needs to get back to what made him so successful.

“That will come with game time and confidence.”

In contrast, Tom Ince has played himself into the starting XI in recent weeks.

“It’s probably a bit harsh to say that he’s started against Blackburn because was Tom Dele-Bashiru was injured. He would have played anyway,” said Cleverley.

“He shows every day in training his quality and his attitude, and his understanding of the game and intelligence is something that we really need in our team.

“His delivery at set pieces is an added bonus and we’ve looked dangerous from them.”

Imran Louza has only featured in two league games this season but was on the bench last Saturday and played almost 70 minutes in the Under-21s on Monday.

Meanwhile, Pierre Dwomoh made his Watford debut in the Carabao Cup at Manchester City but hasn’t featured since.

“They both offer different qualities,” Cleverley pointed out.

“Pierre is aggressive and really good in tight spaces. He shows high intensity with and without the ball, and his range is more 10 or 15 yards and plays more one or two touch.

“Whereas we know what Imran qualities are, he’s got a longer range of passing and he can open up a defence.

“They are two different players who provide two different options when called upon.”
