Four of the leagues clubs made it through to the next round in the County Junior Cup during the weekend' packed fixtures list that featured plenty of goals and also league games.
The big winners where Woodside who put seven unanswered goals past fellow WSL side Frances George 7-0. Woodside took the lead after 14 minutes thanks to a composed finish from Josh Towle after good work down the left flank from Liam Grosso. Joe McCarthy doubled the lead after 27 minutes when he poked home from close range. Towle then added his second goal within a minute. Tyrone Brady the made it four just before half time after a Luke Dolan pass.
After the break, Josh Towle completed his hat trick via a deflected free kick on 19 minutes into the second half. Alex Faur made it six when he finished well after a low cross 10 minutes later. Ellis Constantinou rounded off the scoring from a free kick just three minutes later.
Hertfordshire Athletic enjoyed a 4-2 away victory over Grovehill from the Berkhamstead Sunday League. They scored twice in the first half with goals from Ed Rogers and Chris Fater in the opening exchanges. Early in the second half the home side pulled themselves back into the tie, as Athletic held onto the lead thanks to a series of great saves from Matt Sandys, before Jack McLaughlin restored the two goal advantage when he nodded in a rebound from close range. Grovehill pulled back a second goal soon after, this time from the penalty spot, but the result was sealed two minutes from time when Henry Gibor nipped in front of a defender to complete a fine away victory.
Nascot AFC may not have enjoyed the best of starts in the league, but they made it through 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw with Tring Tornadoes Tigers. Tring went ahead after just five minutes with a goal following a corner, but 20 minutes into the second half Nascot drew level George Dore-Boize scored with a shot from the edge of the box. In the penalty shoot it was Nascot keeper Jordan Blackman who was the star performer as he saved two of the Tring kicks, and after converting all three of their kicks, it was left to Robson Bembridge slot home the winning kick.
Inter beat AFC Abbotts 3-2 thanks to a brace from Sorin Craciun and a single from James Oldam.
Both Bricket Wood Acorns and Langleybury went out following penalty shoot-outs after high scoring draws after ninety minutes. Bricket Wood drew 3-3 with Little Heath Reserves, with their goals coming from a brace from Alex Micael and a single from Charlie Buss, before they went down 4-2 in the shoot-out. Langleybury where held 2-2 by Butts FC with Oliver Ilott and Tom Hedger getting the goal, and in the shoot-out they went down 4-1.
Chorleywood Club AFC went out after a 4-3 away defeat to PM First, Emmanuel Manzan, Nicky Thomas, and George Blanks netting the goals. AFC Watford suffered a 4-1 reserve to Hartham United, Peter Rock with the goal, whilst Everett Rovers suffered a 7-1 defeat following their long trip to Royston to Royston Rangers, Cody Chamberlain with the consolation effort.
Premier Division
Cassiobury Rangers went second in the table level on points with leaders Evergreen after a 6-2 home win over Chalfont Saints who remain without a point so far. Rangers dominated the game and went ahead when Tom Chenery's cross wasn't fully cleared and Sam Mortimer drilled home the ball from 15 yards. He then did give the ball away soon after, which lead to George Kite nicking in past the backline to equalise. Cassiobury responded by retaking the lead when Taylor Osunsedo slotted home from close range. Osunsedo then got his second with a diving header. Corey Botten made it 4-1 with a lob over the keeper. Chalfont pulled back a second early in the second half when a free kick from the right was stroked home by Chris Sherriff. However, Rangers soon after sealed the win thanks to a second goal from Corey Botten and Kai Parker, who headed home his first goal for the senior team.
Division One
Forza Watford suffered a first league defeat of the season as they went down to a single goal against Old Fullerians. The decisive goal came in the first half when Jake Entwistle got the ball down the left hand side of the box he clipped it in to Charlie Hailey who evaded a defender before slotting into the bottom left corner.
Division Two
Watford Youth Sports 2nd are up into third place after a 6-2 away win over Batchworth. Lloyd Millike and Sam Hollis scored for Batchworth with Gabriel Wright notching a brace for the visitors alongside goals from Louie Muncie, Oliver Frost, Tony Garvey and Louis Taverner.
Division Three
FC Railway went the summit of the table following a thumping 7-3 home win over Dome Bar. Tom Coleman, Callum O'Grady, Dan McKane all scored twice with Louis Matthews also on the scoresheet. Ben Davis netted a hat trick for Dome Bar in reply.
