Rejuvenated Oxhey Jets hit four goals without reply for the second game running as they romped to a 4-0 success against Molesey in Division One of the Combined Counties League on Saturday.

The hosts were on top from the outset, with Patrick Brander and Noah Softleigh-Moore excelling on each side of the pitch.

Indeed, it was the pair who combined to give Jets the lead after Dominic Mosca had been denied by the keeper in a one-on-one. Brander tore past a defender and cut across the box and his perfect cross found Softleigh-Moore unmarked at the back post to nod home to give the home side a 28th-minute lead.

Jets attacked for most of the opening 45 minutes, but with only a one-goal lead to show for their efforts, much of the talk at the break was about what they expected Molesey to do in response.

The South Oxhey side have been notoriously slow starters after the restart this season, but there was no sign of such shortcomings as they created two good chances before a blistering shot from Mosca doubled the lead on 50 minutes.

Jets remained firmly on the front foot and, following continuous pressure, made it 3-0 in the 64th minute when skipper James Kimber powerfully headed home.

The home side utilised their replacements but it made no difference to the quality of their performance.

Substitute Tom Reid went close to making it four, before Mosca completed the scoring in the 83rd minute when he fired home.
