The future looks bright for Fullerians Women after several Under-18 players stepped up to make impressive senior debuts in a 34-17 victory over High Wycombe in their season opener.
The Furies fell to two tough defeats against their Buckinghamshire opponents last season, but the team hit the new campaign running thanks to tries from Maggie Brummer, Mae McGaulley-Foy, Gemma Dillieto, Katherine Brim and Zoe Abbot.
The younger players brought a fresh energy and enthusiasm to the team, with the blend of new talent and seasoned senior players helping to provide the ideal start to the new season.
A club spokesperson said: “At Furies, we stand for more than just rugby. It’s a path to mental health, lifelong connections, fitness, and belonging. We’re not just a team—we’re a family that embraces everyone who walks through our doors.
“With our numbers growing every week, there’s never been a better moment to join.”
Fullerians Women train every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm at their Coningesby Drive home.
