Watford fans have been handed the prospect of a Friday night trip to Plymouth with the announcement of the games chosen for broadcast by Sky Sports up until January 4, 2025.

The Hornets will now make the 480-mile round trip to Home Park on Friday November 22, with the new kick-off time of 8pm meaning an even later night for those who have to travel home after the game.

Along with the game movements for broadcast, a couple of other fixtures have also been altered, meaning a total of eight more games have changed from the original provisional fixture list.

The trip to Kenilworth Road to face Luton on Saturday October 19 will now kick-off at 12.30pm after a request from the police.

Last season Watford fans had to trek to Plymouth on New Year’s Day – this year it’s a much shorter trip to QPR but the earlier kick-off of 12.30pm will test a few hangovers.

These most recent fixture amendments mean Watford will not play an away Championship match at 3pm on a Saturday until November 2, when they visit Sheffield Wednesday.

The full list of fixture changes announced today are:

This means Watford will be featuring on Sky Sports 10 times in total up to, and including, Saturday January 4, 2025.

This will be split between being the main game on Sky Sports Football and an option-to-view game on the newly-launching Sky Sports+ channel.

The Sky Sports+ choices include the opening-day fixture at Millwall, when all 72 EFL matches will be shown live.

The announcement of TV selections to cover the rest of January, February and March 2025 is expected in November.
