Don Cowie has expressed his delight at signing Jack Grieves after the Watford Academy product completed his season-long loan move to Ross County.

The Watford Observer reported yesterday that the 19-year-old was poised to move to the Scottish Premiership side managed by the former Hornet and the deal has now been confirmed.

Cowie told the County website: “We are delighted to secure Jack for the season ahead. He plays in an attacking midfield role and is very highly thought of at Watford.

“He has impressed in pre-season at his parent club and it is fantastic that he has decided to join us for the next step in his development.

“Thank you to all at Watford for their help in making this deal possible.”

The versatile Watford-born forward, who can also play in midfield, scored the only goal in Watford’s first public outing of the summer, the 1-0 victory at Boreham Wood.
