Several first-team players are set to miss out on tonight's friendly at Hibernian after Watford posted a picture of a group of players who have remained at St George’s Park for training.
The Hornets are spending the week away from London Colney at the base for the England national teams and head coach Tom Cleverley confirmed after Saturday’s friendly defeat at Gillingham that the squad would be split, with some travelling to Easter Road while others remain training.
The club shared a picture on ‘X’, formerly Twitter, showing Giorgi Chakvetadze, Ryan Andrews, Vakoun Bayo, Moussa Sissoko and Tom Dele-Bashiru among those who have stayed at St George’s Park for what the club described as a “smaller session”.

This suggests a number of younger players will got an opportunity to impress against the Scottish Premiership side, but the absence of some first-team regulars may disappoint some fans who have made the long midweek journey north of the border.
Hibernian are due to be showing a stream of the game, which kicks off at 7pm, on their YouTube channel
