Swansea City have led the spending stakes in the Championship over the last week by splashing out almost £1m on South Korean striker Ji-sung Eom.

The 22-year-old scored 20 times in 108 games for Gwangju, and also netted on his only full international appearance for his country.

The Swans have also taken Portgueuse Under-20 international midfielder on a free transfer from Moreirense, where he made 130 appearances.

Derby have paid AZ Alkmaar £700,000 to secure the services of Dutch midfielder Kenzo Goudmijn, who made 26 Eredivise appearances last season.

Striker Kayden Jackson, who previous clubs include Swindon, Wrexham and Barnsley, has also moved to Pride Park on a free transfer from Ipswich.

After a spell on loan at The Den, defender Japhet Tanganga has moved to Millwall permanently on a free transfer from Spurs.

The 25-year-old made 50 first-team appearances for the North London club and also had a spell on loan at FC Augsburg.

The Lions have also signed 25-year-old goalkeeper Lukas Jensen from Lincoln City.

Defender Reuell Walters has left Arsenal to join Luton on a free transfer. The 19-year-old captained the Gunners team in the UEFA Youth League and was an unused sub eight times in the Premier League last season.

Oxford have paid Ipswich £400,000 for Tunisian international striker Idris El Mizouni. The 23-year-old made 26 appearances for the Tractor Boys, but registered nearly 90 appearances during two loan spells with Leyton Orient.

Former Watford midfielder Nathanial Chalobah has left West Brom and joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer, with the Owls also signing Manchester United’s 20-year-old striker Charlie McNeill, who made one Europa League appearance at Old Trafford but has senior experience on loan with Stevenage and Newport County.

Stefan Teitur Thordarson has joined Preston from Silkeborg for £700,000. The 25-year-old Icelandic international midfielder scored 16 times in 126 games for the Danish side, having played more than 100 times for Akranes in his home country.

Bristol City’s new signing Yu Hirakawa posted one of the most polite and humble tweets when he signed for the club on loan from Machida Zelvia.

“I will do my best for the Bristol City” wrote the Japanese Under-23 international winger who has 73 appearances and 12 goals for Machida.

 

Cardiff have signed the former Southampton and Arsenal defender Calum Chambers on a free from Aston Villa, and have also taken winger Chris Willock from QPR.

Young Dutch winger Ibrahim Cissoko has joined Plymouth on loan from Toulouse, while Leeds defender Jamie Shackleton, who made 15 appearances for the Elland Road club last season, has moved to Sheffield United on a free transfer.

Irish international midfielder Alan Browne has left Preston after 10 years and more than 400 appearances to sign for Sunderland, and West Brom have taken goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith from Derby where he made 97 appearances in two seasons.

Leeds have signed midfielder Joe Rothwell – who made more than 150 appearances for Blackburn – on loan from Bournemouth, and taken 31-year-old keeper Alex Cairns from Salford.
