Watford Swimming Club are celebrating their best medal haul in recent memory at the Swim England East Region Long Course Championships after taking on the best swimmers from across the east of England .
The championships took place over three weekends in April and May and the Watford squad won 19 medals, more than double last year’s tally of nine, as well as setting lots of new personal best times.
The club continues to go from strength to strength this season and now looks likely to take a strong contingent to this year’s National Championships.
The swimmers who took part at the regionals were: Alison Loo, Amy Boreham, Amy Harper, Angelica Lazauskaite, Anirudh Prabhu, Benjamin Taggart, Cailin Hehir, Chloe Simpson, Constantine Calliafas, Danylo Snitko, Emily Meyler, Emma Storrow, Esmee Hui, Gabriel Taggart, Hugo Harley, Isabelle Cowie, Isla Caley, Jack Barnard, Jacob Chen, Jake Moore, James Gibson, James Renton, Jeffrey Gill, Karson Chan, Luke Martell, Matthew Aldred, Max Perry, Max Walters , Montgomery Brewster, Rafferty May, Ruby-May Ciaburro, Summer Evason, William Harris and William Rogers.
