For the first time since the Covid pandemic, there have been two teams of swimmers from the Watford area taking part in the Herts Major Swimming League.
The Watford Swimming Club team was led by coach Claire Houchin and, as with last year, was competing in Division One against the best clubs from across the county.
After finishing third in round one, a very close finish in the next round saw the Watford team just miss out on second spot by 3.5 points.
The club had to field a reduced team in the final round, but the swimmers demonstrated superb team spirit to finish sixth on the night and sixth overall in Division One.
Watford and Bushey swimming clubs are continuing to work closely together, enabling them to create a joint Watford/Bushey team to take part in Division Two of the league.
The newly-established team were led by coach Jack Ryan and some impressive performances saw them finish sixth in all three rounds.
