Former Watford FC player Ian Bolton recently met a lifelong centenarian supporter at Burford House Care Home in a surprise visit.
Stanley, known for his devotion to the club, was thrilled by the unexpected drop-in on Friday, March 15, after reaching the milestone on December 23.
Bolton, prized for his club contributions, kicked-off a lively chat with Stanley about memories supporting the club, favourite players, and their mutual love for the team.
Stanley received a personalised club shirt as a thank you for his enduring support, which sparked more conversations about historic moments.
Two of Stanley's friends joined in for the presentation, followed by a communal meal in the home.
Stanley said: "It is a total surprise and I am thrilled about the effort made by everyone."
Burford House Care Home, which opened in September 2022 in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, is run by the family-owned Westgate Healthcare Group Ltd.
It boasts 46 bespoke suites, hotel-like amenities, and personalised dining experiences. The home is part of a portfolio of eight homes, all rated either 'good' or 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission.
