Watford have confirmed they have turned the season-long loan of Giorgi Chakvetadze into a permanent transfer.
Although details of the fee have not been released, it is believed to be around the £2.5m mark.
The 24-year-old Georgian first moved to Vicarage Road on a season-long loan from Belgian club KAA Gent in August.
He has gone on to make 26 appearances for the Golden Boys, scoring his first goal against Bristol City on Boxing Day.
Chakvetadze has 22 caps for Georgia and has scored eight times for his country, and also represented them at Under-21, Under-19, Under-18 and Under-17 levels.
He began his career with Dinamo Tbilisi and then moved to Gent in 2017
Chakvetadze also had spells on loan at Hamburger SV in Germany and Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia.
