Watford Women have signed goalkeeper Safia Middleton-Patel on a dual-sign agreement from Manchester United.
The 19-year-old Wales international has joined the Hornets until the end of this season.
Middleton-Patel has played for the Red Devils since moving from Liverpool in 2020, and has experience of playing in the Barclays Women’s Championship at Blackburn Rovers and Coventry United.
The keeper picked up her first full cap for Wales in February 2023, keeping a clean sheet against the Phillipines in the Pinatar Cup.
She also has six caps for both the Welsh Under-17 and Under-19 teams.
Middleton-Patel will wear the number one shirt for the Hornets, and goes straight into the squad for the league game at Southampton tomorrow (Sunday, January 21, 2pm KO).

Watford have 10 league games left and currently sit bottom of the Championship, five points adrift of Reading in 10th, which is the position they need to reach if they are to avoid relegation.
