Striker Rhys Healey has left Watford little more than six months after signing, and joined fellow Championship side Huddersfield.
Although the fee is undisclosed, it’s understood to be worth up to £2m.
The 29-year-old striker had a frustrating time at Vicarage Road, and only made his first start in the FA Cup tie against Chesterfield earlier this month.
He kept his place for Sunday’s win over QPR, in what proved to be his only Championship start for the Hornets.
Until those two outings, Healey had just 122 minutes of game time spread over 11 appearances.
In his short time at Vicarage Road, the striker scored twice: the very late equaliser against Southampton at Vicarage Road in December and the slightly earlier winner at Blackburn two weeks later.
The former MK Dons striker really came to the fore during three years in France with Toulouse, where scored 39 times in 77 appearances, helping them to win promotion to Ligue 1.
A cruciate ligament injury ruled him out for nearly all of last season, but it’s understood that Watford were already interested with his contract at the French club coming to an end.

The way Watford play, and particularly what Valerien Ismael looks for in a No.9, only added to the feeling that the signing of Healey may have been agreed before the Frenchman became head coach.
Healey will be making a return to Vicarage Road in less than six weeks, with Huddersfield visiting for a Championship game on February 24.
The Terriers are in real trouble at the foot of the table, with only two wins in their last 15 league games leaving them one place and four points above the relegation zone.
