A local football club has paid tribute to Daniel Dunton, a former player and “part of our history”.
Herts Police found what is believed to be the 30-year-old’s body on Thursday, January 11, after he went missing on January 3.
Oxhey Jets remembered him with a pre-match minute’s silence and by wearing black armbands during their game against Berks County, which started at 3pm on Saturday (January 13).

The club confirmed that the silence was impeccably observed by the teams and spectators.
The Oxhey Jets youth teams also held minute’s silences at their own games at the weekend in Daniel’s memory.
Speaking to the Watford Observer last week, Oxhey Jets FC founder John Elliott said Daniel, like all former members, was “part of our history” as a team and they would pay “the utmost respect after his passing”.
“He was such a lovely lad, he was carefree and fun around the club,” he added.
The game finished with home side Berks County winning 1-0.
Daniel’s passing was also marked during yesterday’s game between Watford and QPR at Loftus Road.
The home team played the Elton John song 'Daniel' as part of the pre-match music and a minute’s applause was observed by fans in the 30th minute.
