Daniel went missing from Watford on January 3 before Herts Police found what is believed to be his body yesterday morning (January 11).

Although formal identification is yet to take place, the 30-year-old’s family have been informed and are being supported by police officers.

Following the news, Queens Park Rangers and Watford fans have shared posts organising a minute’s applause in the 30th minute of the game at Loftus Road, which kicks off at 12pm on Sunday.

John Elliott, founder of Oxhey Jets FC where Daniel was a former player, shared that he had been in touch with the family and they had confirmed that they “would love for this to happen”.

Mr Elliott said that Daniel, like all former members, was “part of our history” as a team and Oxhey Jets will pay “the utmost respect after his passing”.

“He was such a lovely lad, he was carefree and fun around the club,” he added.

QPR fan Daryll Matthews suggested the idea on X after coming across a post about Daniel from Oxhey Jets.

When the Jets replied confirming the family’s support, he set about putting the word out online.

“Rivalries et cetera…it goes out the window," Daryll told the Watford Observer.  "You don’t want anything like this to happen to anybody.

“I just thought it would be a thing to do as fans.”

The post has been seen and shared by Watford and QPR fans alike, including Luther Blissett.
