A Croxley Green-based sports club has been awarded a £1,000 grant to refurbish its kitchen facilities.
The Croxley Guild of Sport and Social is one of eight clubs across the county to receive a share of £6,000 funding from Hertfordshire County Council.
The money will be used to refurbish the kitchen, which is currently deemed "insufficient to meet the needs of the many parents and juniors attending the club".
Works will now increase the kitchen's capacity and renew outdated equipment.
Cllr Chris Lloyd from Hertfordshire County Council said: “Refurbishment of the kitchen facilities in the clubhouse will benefit all the clubs that play there including rugby, tennis and bowls.
"I want to encourage people of all ages to get involved in sport.
