A referee is set to take charge of a match involving Watford for the first time when the Hornets aim to build on Saturday’s victory against Sheffield Wednesday at Swansea City tomorrow night.
Andrew Kitchen has been appointed to officiate the fixture at the Swansea.com Stadium in what will be just his third game in the Championship.
Kitchen’s first second tier match also involved the Swans, their 1-1 draw at Queens Park Rangers in September in which he sent off the visitors’ Oliver Cooper in the closing stages, and he was also in charge for Plymouth Argyle’s 6-2 victory over Norwich City later that month.
The official, who was appointed to the National List of Referees in 2021, has taken charge of nine league and cup games this season, showing a total of 23 yellow cards plus that one red to the Swansea player.
Mark Stevens and Craig Taylor are due to be the assistant referees for the 7.45pm kick off, with Josh Smith the fourth official.
