Two Watford FC players attended a primary school in town to unveil a new art mural.
Children at Laurance Haines Primary School welcomed Wesley Hoedt and Mileta Rajovic on Thursday, September 14 to share the new art project.
It was completed in collaboration West Herts College in Watford to decorate the blank canvas in the school’s early years playground.
The college ran a competition, with over 40 students entering to have their Watford FC-inspired work to be displayed in the school.
The chosen artwork was completed by Ali, an art and design student, who incorporated the Watford FC logo and the school logo with different sports featured as well.
Tom Paley, lecturer in art and design, said: "Laurance Haines School contacted the college to see if our art and design students could support with their live brief to create a colourful, sport inspired mural for their playground.
“Given the school’s proximity to Watford Football Club, they wanted the mural to feature the club’s iconic crest.”
The school is on Vicarage Road, close to the stadium, and has connections with the club, including being given tickets for children and staff.
