Daniel Bachmann and Ken Sema could line up on opposing sides, while Ryan Porteous is set to have Harry Kane and England’s other attacking threats on his mind during the next two weeks.
Those are among the potential highlights after Watford confirmed seven of their players have received call-ups from their nations for the first international break of the season.
Hornets goalkeeper and captain Bachmann is back in the Austria squad and they are set to meet Moldova in a friendly on Thursday before returning to Euro 2024 qualifying action against Sweden on Tuesday, September 12.
Club-mate Sema has been named in the Sweden squad who are due to meet Estonia in a qualifier on Saturday before facing the Austrians.
Giorgi Chakvetadze is also looking forward to two Euro 2024 qualifiers with Georgia, with Spain first up on Friday before they take on Norway on September 12.
Those fixtures are in Group A which is currently being led by Scotland, and Porteous and his international teammates will be aiming to make it five wins out of five when they travel to face Cyprus on Friday.
Attention will then turn to the match against England at Hampden Park on Tuesday which is taking place to mark the 150th anniversary of the first meeting between the two sides.
Elsewhere, Edo Kayembe has linked up the DR Congo as they look to secure their place in the Africa Cup of Nations when they face Sudan in their final qualifier on Saturday.
Congo are currently top of Group I and after that are due to take on South Africa in a friendly on September 12.
As we reported on Friday, Ryan Andrews has been called up to the England Under-20 squad for a training camp at St George’s Park, while Under-21 goalkeeper Jonathan Macaulay is in the Sweden Under-19 squad taking part in a four-nation tournament against Norway, Denmark and Poland.
